August not only has the Celtic festival of Lunasadh, but the Hindu festival of Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of removing obstacles and giving good luck. We all have obstacles we want removed, and we can use any amount of good luck. This spell is best done on the Full Moon. If you have a statue of Ganesha, place it in the center of your altar. If you don't write out his name on a piece of paper and use it instead. Put a small vase of brightly colored flowers besides the statue and burn rose incense and red and yellow candles. Write out your important goals on paper and place it on the altar. Place a key on top of the paper. If you buy an old key, be sure to wash it thoroughly before using to remove any residue of vibrations. Stand before the altar and say, "Ganesha, Lord of obstacles, I ask that you remove any barriers in my life. Make my path straight and smooth to my goals." Touch the key with one hand and say, "Lead me to the key that will unlock the solutions." Watch your dreams and meditations for answers. -By D. J. Conway |
