Storm Moon

March is a month of storms and much rain. This seasonal moisture prepares the Earth for the coming spring and growth. When correctly collected, the rain can also be quite useful in magic.

Clean a wide-mouthed jar or container and set it outside during a rain storm. When it is full, seal it with a tight lid, or transfer the contents to smaller bottles and cap tightly. Do not drink this water. Label each bottle as to the contents and date it was collected. If you haven't used the water within a year, pour it outside onto the ground. When you have finished with the bottles of rainwater, take them to your altar. Leaves the bottles there until the Full Moon.

On the night of the Full Moon, place five white candles in a circle on your altar, with the bottles of water inside the circle. Burn Frankincense incense and wave the smoke over the bottles to further purify them. Light the candles and leave them burning for at least five hours or until they burn out. This water can be used for sprinkling around the edges of ritual circles.
